The 2022 Lyon County Fair is in full swing.
Hundreds of locals made their way to the fairgrounds Thursday night for the first night of the carnival. Lyon County Fairboard member Ken Duft says the carnival brings a whole new atmosphere to the community.
The carnival will continue every night now until August 13 from 6pm to 10pm. Wristbands can be purchased for $25 each night.
The 4H fair shows resume on Friday with rabbit, beef and veal shows during the day, followed by sheep and goat shows on Saturday and pig and poultry shows on Sunday. Grandstand events begin Saturday with the ranch rodeo and continue through Aug. 13 with the demolition derby closing out the fair.
