BEVERLY – The Randolph County Fair will kick off nine consecutive days of fun and activities at 4-H Camp Pioneer on Saturday, August 20th.
Opening day will begin with the 4-H/FFA Pig, Beef, Goat, Lamb, Rabbit and Poultry Show Contest at 9 am.
A buyer’s reception will be held at 3 p.m. the same day, followed by another performance by the Cincinnati Circus at 4 p.m. afternoon
The second day of the fair – Sunday, August 21 – will begin with the Randolph County Fair Children’s Pageant (ages 0-4) at 2:00 p.m. Cincinnati Circus will have three shows that day at 2:00 p.m., 16 :00 and 18:00
The Randolph County Fair Kids Contest for children ages 5-12 is the only event scheduled for Monday, August 22.
The following day, Tuesday, August 23, the lineup for the Randolph County Fair Parade will begin at 6:00 PM on Edmundton Avenue in Beverly. The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m
The first day for the carnival rides will be on Wednesday, August 24 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. wrap up an exciting day at 7 p.m
On Thursday, August 25, the Fair will host Senior Day at Camp Pioneer 4-H Upper Campus. There will be free entry to Senior Day activities from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts exhibits will open at 5pm and there will be an open sheep show at 5:30pm The Rugged Truck & UTV Challenge will be at 6pm followed by an open pig show at 7pm carnival rides. will be open from 18:00 to 22:00
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25, the fair will hold Education Day for fourth-graders at the Upper Campus 4-H Camp. Gracie Metheny will perform music at 5:30pm and the Open Feeder and Heifer Show is at 6pm.
The Kids Mutton Bustin’ event is at 7pm followed by the Rodeo and Calf Scramble at 7:30pm. The Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts exhibits will open at 5pm and the carnival will be open from 6pm to 11am.
The Color Run/Walk will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, followed by the opening of the Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts exhibits, Homemade Craft Show, Heritage Activities and WV Cutting Horse Association all at 10:00.
There will be a Bridle Show and Kids Farm Olympics at 1 p.m. The Greased Pig Race will be at 2 p.m., followed by a Hot Dog Eating Contest at 2:30 p.m. The Pet Show will start at 3pm, while Michael Bonnett and River’s Edge perform at 4.30pm
The action will continue on Saturday with Cow Patty Bingo at 5pm and the Kids Pedal Tractor Race (6 and under) at 5pm. The Tractor Pull Race will be at 6pm and the day will close with a Fireworks display at 9 p.m. Carnival rides will be open from noon to 5pm and from 6pm to 11pm
On the final day of the fair, Sunday, August 28, the carnival rides will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
