Live countless characters and with each of them, convey a different message to the audience. It is the same in the world of dramaturgy. On movie screens, in soap operas or in theater performances, actors, through interpretation, help to illustrate a story, be it fictional or real. Every day, thousands of scenes: rehearsed, recorded, redone. Jamerson Andrade feels this mission first hand. In addition, he is a producer, director and screenwriter.
The profession chose him. Jamerson recalls that his involvement began when he was in high school and that he loved to be involved in all things related to the arts. Always the first to raise their hand to volunteer. But, as not everything is flowers, he faced family prejudices. His parents, from the northeast and evangelicals, did not accept him. “For them, it was a dishonor to the military culture. At the age of 17 I applied for the Brazilian Navy and therefore did not continue my career. There are five more changes! After graduating in Civil Engineering and having worked on major projects in Rio de Janeiro, I finally decided to return to art in the wonderful city”.
Filled with pride, he explains that he hasn’t stopped. He started producing theater and took a dive into social media. “In the middle of a pandemic, it happened! I have gained fame in the art world. I am currently getting invitations to work in Stand Up Comedy. Dear, intensely! However, I do not literally make a living from art. Still! I believe that the dream is already approaching reality! Acting is having the power to bring the magic to the surface and bring wonderful, wonderful stories and texts to life! Forever a new discovery!”.
The comedian. Andrade mentions that it is very difficult to learn without any cake recipes. “You either are or you aren’t! I remember the first time I went on stage, everyone looked at me and with a simple gesture, really laughed! Then it hit me! I found out, right there, that I was born. For this! I remember fondly from my first box office show. The most delicious feeling! Knowing that the audience was there just to see you. Unforgettable!”.
plans. He concludes: “I want to consolidate myself as an actor and of course go to the small and big screens. Seek recognition! It is my greatest desire and with effort and a lot of faith in God I will achieve it! I will get there!”.
Currently he has participated in several Stand Up Comedy, and from the praise and applause he has received, he is on the right track!
