SHEBOYGAN – Acuity Insurance, based in Sheboygan, raised more than $10,000 to benefit Aurora Medical Response Services for abuse victims through its 2022 Acuity Health Challenge.
In its 10th year, the Acuity Health Challenge featured a 5K or 2-mile run/walk. More than 450 people completed the challenge in person, which was held at Acuity’s campus at 2800 S. Taylor Drive in Sheboygan. Another 42 participants supported the event virtually.
In addition to the challenge itself, participants and spectators were welcomed to the event by Acuity’s Vendor Village, which hosted a variety of local vendors who helped sponsor goody bags given to challenge participants.
The overall 5K winners were, in the men’s category, Timmy Brey with a time of 15:29 and, in the women’s category, Miranda Cobb with a time of 22.36.
In addition to a goodie bag and a personalized race day t-shirt, the Health Challenge also provided lunch for participants, which included bagel sandwiches, homemade granola bars from Fresh Meals on Wheels, sausage sticks and cheese from Old Wisconsin and Acuity Executive Chef Mike Luedke’s Strawberry Soup.
