For more than a week, Susana was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo. The news was given by her daughter, Julia, 16 years old, using the journalist’s own Instagram:

The fight against cancer
In March of this year, the journalist revealed to the public that she was fighting cancer for the fifth time. Susanna had to undergo intravenous chemotherapy, due to the severity of the disease, which was not regressing with oral treatment.
In August of this year, she gave an interview, where she talked about facing the disease once again.
“My treatment goes according to what the exam shows.
My doctor is monitoring and I do a PET-Scan about every three cycles,
which are six applications of chemotherapy. Every three months, you can say that
I do a Pet-Scan to see how the disease is. Then my doctor
determines which way the treatment will go,” she said.
Susana was only 18 when she got it first cancer diagnosis, a lymphoma. The treatment lasted about a year and she succeeded in her recovery, which was done before her career as a journalist began.
This was the fifth time that Suzana was fighting cancer.
