The National Weather Service in San Juan warned of the possibility of landslides and rockslides in areas with steep terrain as the ground remains saturated. This, from the rains of the previous days.
The agency reported that sufficient moisture is expected today to combine with good daytime heat and local effects for another round of convection in the afternoon across parts of central interior and southwestern Puerto Rico, as well as the southern slopes.
Some of this rain and storm activity will produce locally heavy downpours and may result in accumulations on roads and in poorly drained areas, as well as some minor urban flooding and minor stream flooding in isolated areas.
Near-normal highs are expected in the upper 80s to 90s in coastal areas with highs expected to reach 100 to 106 degrees in isolated areas along the coast and in urban areas.
The wind will blow from the northeast direction at a speed of 10 to 15 km/h with occasional high showers along the coastal areas and accompanied by rain in the afternoon.
