The promise expert Mr. Rolando Emanuelli stated on RADIO ISLA that it is better to wait for the LUMA Energy contract to expire on November 30 than to end immediately.
“The supplementary contract expires, the clause says it clearly. Without any kind of decree, there should be no intervention of an arbitrator or a court. The contract is terminated and LUMA exit clauses then come into effect because the contract provides for a process for LUMA to leave and this is the fastest that can be achieved to end the matter with LUMA because if the contract is canceled (immediately) to send notice 120 days in advance”, said the expert.
“December catches us in the process and then the transition would come. In this case, the contract expires, as it simply enters into force due to the conditions and there are no controversies, then LUMA should start the process of passing her departure”, he concluded.
