Alabama Soccer Falls To Miami Sunday

GABLE CORAL, Fla. – The Alabama football team (1-1-0) fell 0-1 to Miami (1-0-1) on Sunday at Cobb Stadium.

“Disappointing results for sure. I thought we started the game well, we had a lot of possession and territory, but we struggled to create any clear-cut chances. As the first half went on, we gave away some bad balls and started to score too. mistakes. We gave them some life and momentum and they were able to take advantage of it.

“I thought we were good in the second half. We had most of the ball and territory and were able to get some good looks. But credit to Miami for keeping the ball out of the net.”

How It Happened

Despite Alabama dominating the scoring column for the first few minutes of the game, Miami found the back of the net in the 32nd minute.n.d minute. Julia Edwards passed the ball to Megan Morgan at the top of the box. Morgan took two touches and then fired into the bottom left corner of the goal. Alabama led the half in shots 6-1.

The Crimson Tide continued to apply pressure, dominating the second half with a 16-2 shooting margin. However, UA was unable to find the equalizer.
