Alabama’s Kat Rogers Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Alabama football Cat Rogers was named to the 2022 SEC Community Service Team the league office announced Wednesday. The UA graduate earned her third selection to the service team.

Rogers continues to lead the Alabama football team in community service activities. This semester, Rogers worked with Rise Center and CrossingPoints. At the Rise Center, she helped young children with and without special needs develop the skills needed to succeed in a school setting. In addition to her time at the Rise Center, Rogers worked with CrossingPoints where she helped students with intellectual disabilities. During her career she has served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and worked with Halloween Extravaganza, Project Angle Tree and Beat Auburn Beat Hunger.

Rogers graduated with a 4.0 GPA in management. The two-year captain scored the game-winning goal on Sunday, leading the Tide to a 2-0 victory against Florida. She also has six assists this season, including three against Chattanooga. Rogers has played in all 18 games this season and has helped Alabama to a 16-1-1 overall record, which includes a 9-0 record in conference play. Rogers’ leadership helped UA win its first SEC championship and first West Division title in 24 years.­­­
