BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Alabama football Riley Mattingly Parker was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Parker earned the honor after scoring a brace in the team’s 3-0 upset of No. 18 Clemson in addition to helping UA secure a 2-0 shutout win over Southern Miss in the Tide’s opener.
Parker’s performance included scoring the game-winning goal in the team’s win over No. 18 Clemson. The goal was one of two by Parker against the Tigers, as she found the back of the net after heading in both 12 goals.th 80 minutesth minute of the game.
