The Albin Community Center was full of children and activities for this evening. On October 29 at 5:30 p.m., Albin had its Halloween carnival
At the beginning of the festivities there was a jar full of candy. The children had to guess how many candies were in the jar. The one closest to the amount received candy as a prize. Around the gym were various booths and concessions consisting of pizza rolls, nachos, cotton candy, other candy, and drinks.
The booths were different activities where the children participated and after finishing the activities they received a candy. There was a fishing game where you could throw a line and get a candy fish. The other was a ping pong ball in a cup. It was like bowling. Once the ball was in the cup, then you remove the cup. One or two could play the game at the same time. There was no dinosaur shooting and a game of tic tac toe. There was a board to throw a bean bag at the clowns face. Similar to the corn hole. Mayor Kelly Krakow was in charge of the golf game. The kids tried to get the ball into the hole for a hole in one. Around the corner was a cake walk. Cake walks are a lot of fun, but they can be intense when you have a certain and specific cake you want. The baked goods are from different people from the Albini area. Walk in the numbered circle while the music is playing. After the music stops, look down for a number to see who won. Then that person can choose from delicious baked goods. The other is to throw a football through the moving tire. This is more for a teenager to enjoy, but let the little ones have some attention too. In the other corner was the ring shooting with the firemen. The real fun thing was that the kids loved going in and out of the haunted house. There was pinko and a spinning wheel game.
