Newly elected Vice President Geraldo Alckmin announced this Tuesday, November 8, the first names of the government transition team of President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, left).
Alckmin was named the team’s general coordinator last week.
Economists André Lara Resende and Pérsio Arida, who formulated the Real Plan, have been confirmed as members of the technical group dealing with economics.
In addition to them, economists Guilherme Melo, who helped formulate the program of da Silva’s government, and Nelson Barbosa, former Minister of Finance, will also be part of the team.
