Brazil’s newly elected Vice President Geraldo Alckmin will take over the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade, according to sources heard by Valor.
The announcement should be made tomorrow by president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva along with other names.
Alckmin will collect the duties of the vice president.
This is because his functions as vice president are said to be in “full harmony” with those of the MDIC.
The assessment is that the elected vice president is “well in tune” with the objectives of the new industrial policy drawn up by incoming president Luiz Inácio Lula da. . .
