In this exhibition, the viewer is invited to delve into these journeys and swim through the abstract and the concrete, becoming part of the art. Because everyone has a story to tell, be it individual or collective.

“In my grandmother’s house there was a painting in the living room, I frequented the house and it always attracted me to the two things I love: art and architecture. She lived in a small town in the interior of Bahia, where it was very hot. refreshing image .I was only 11 years old and it was my first contact with a print by the English artist David Hockney. As an adult, after having more contact with museums and galleries, I had already entered art through photography, which, let’s say – if in passing , opened the doors to the world, where I could show the beautiful landscapes of our Brazil with great love.

One day, in a museum in Europe, I saw myself in front of the original painting, where I felt a very strong emotional charge related to my childhood. My subconscious had stored that image somewhere in my brain, which surfaced while thinking about this work. From there I started to go through all the inspiration of the artist. I believe that every artist is inspired by other artists, even if unconsciously. I have always been a fan of Pop Art, collages and plural art, such as collages and mix-media (mixmedia). I feel that this show takes me to a story of my life, my inspirations, bringing to this 20-year retrospective, from the beginning with the photographs of the carioca landscape, a toast to everyone’s eyes, going through the geometric, something more visual and. mathematical, and sitting in these pools, something refreshing, pleasant and social. I try to make my art universal, where my landscapes could mean Rio, or Palm Springs or even the Brazilian northeast, I leave it to the discretion of the viewer. Take a good “dive” into my art”

ABOUT TARTAGLIA ART

Tartaglia Arte was founded in 1950 as a painting studio by the artist Piero Tartaglia, then known as Piery. After a few years, he created a point of reference and cultural meeting with other artists and young talents, where, under Mestre’s guidance, they developed their personal style. Tartaglia’s overwhelming passion for pictorial expression with bursts of pure color and violent contrasts that make the canvas come alive gave life to the School of Disgregationism. He later founded the Galleries, for the permanent exhibition of his works and those of his students, which are now run by his son Riccardo. Love for art and broad cultural vision are the hallmarks of this great artist and represent his moral and spiritual legacy. A legacy that continues to be represented by Riccardo Tartaglia, who works with the same seriousness and persistence in spreading art, through exhibitions and international events. But all with the signature of Riccardo Tartaglia and Regina Nobrez (Member of the Academy of Fine Arts of Rio de Janeiro and Cultural Ambassador with Honoris Causa, from the Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina – Honor of Art of Florianópolis), which gives a certificate of credibility and creative sensitivity.
