The plastic artists Almir Reis and Andréa Brêtas carry out an intervention in their exhibitions “20 Anos” and “Tudo Mais Entre Nós”, next Saturday, the 19th, from 15:00 to 19:00, at the Centro Cultural Correios RJ.
Almiri will be on hand for guided tours of its famous pools. Andréa, who is also a photographer, will take a photo of each visitor next to one of the works, which will be emailed later.
The exhibitions opened last Thursday (10) have attracted many people, because of the works that interact and complement each other, in the adjacent rooms, showing the artistic diversity that has returned to the city.
“Tudo Mais Entre Nós” is the new solo exhibition of plastic artist and photographer Andréa Brêtas, with paintings in the watercolor style of acrylic paint on canvas and aluminum, and an installation, which deals with the human relationship and the “we” that exist. in the middle of the road, the jams and difficulties, but also the peace and ease that await you after passing through these unmade joints.
“Tudo Mais Entre Nós” talks about before and after, but the importance of crossing this middle path, like a prism where the light falls and opens into seven colors. When we talk about the paintings of Andréa Brêtas, we talk about the specific way in which she relates to her time and stamps that time, with its conflicts and contradictions.
Painter and photographer Almir Reis presents the exhibition “20 years”, bringing a retrospective of his artistic trajectory, based on a plural art, technological and architectural resources, in color or black and white, showing the scene of Rio, geometric shapes and swimming pools , which invite you to immerse yourself in your work. Almir Reis exhibits his inspirations, which include pop art, collages and mixed media, leaving the viewer free to interpret.
The exhibitions are on the 3rd floor of the Centro Cultural Correios RJ, curated by Tartaglia Arte, and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12:00 to 19:00.
