The NIA is celebrating Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month this June. Throughout the month, the NIA aims to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, highlight scientific advances and share resources to support researchers as well as individuals, families and caregivers affected by the disease. #AlzScience Twitter Chat
NIA will host the #AlzScience Twitter Chat Wednesday, June 15 from 1-2pm ET. Join NIA and partners in the research community to discuss exciting Alzheimer’s research, the importance of brain donation, and the progress being made in this field.
How to participate:
During the conversation, follow the hashtag #AlzScience and follow @NIHAaging on Twitter. NIA will post each of the seven questions listed below.

Join NIA on Facebook to learn about Alzheimer’s disease, hear personal stories from caregivers and find additional resources throughout the month. Each week will have a different focus:
- June 6-10: Explore the basics of Alzheimer’s, including signs and symptoms, how Alzheimer’s changes the brain, and the genetics of the disease.
- June 13-17: Find information for people living with dementia, including advice on care, support and planning for the future, as well as advice from people living with Alzheimer’s.
- June 20-24: Learn about Alzheimer’s caregiving, including helpful resources and tips and personal stories from Alzheimer’s caregivers.
- June 27 – July 1: Find out how to help advance Alzheimer’s research, including the role of clinical trials and the importance of brain donation.
