Angolan Armed Forces in maximum readiness to “avoid incidents”

According to the September 3rd order signed by the Chief of Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), General Egídio de Sousa Santos, all FAA units, facilities and organs will be placed in a state of high combat readiness to avoid incidents that “disrupt public order and peace”.

During this period, security measures will be strengthened for critical economic and strategic objectives and government facilities, the movement of military convoys will be controlled and the departure of military aircraft will be restricted.

The duties of the garrison will also be increased and the measures for the control of weapons and ammunition will be increased. . .
