Argentina and Great Britain have a difficult relationship

Relations between Argentina and Great Britain have been characterized by diplomatic tensions stemming from an old and unresolved sovereignty dispute over the Malvinas Islands, as Argentina calls them, or the Falklands, as England knows that archipelago south of the American continent.

Perhaps because of this, Alberto Fernandez’s government’s response to the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday was purely diplomatic:
