Argentine government doubled public enterprises’ deficit, the highest in 30 years

The measures taken to curb the fiscal deficit did not result in any results in the structure of the state.

The latest report of the Ministry of Economy regarding the fiscal balance of the cash base estimates that the operating deficit of public enterprises reached 0.87% of GDP in the accumulated year until August.

The deficit score includes only the losses related to the operating costs of state-owned companies relative to their current revenues, but does not take into account other items, such as transfers or capital contributions from the central government.
