After the successful 2022 edition, the organizing team of the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA) is pulling out all the stops and is now in presentation mode for the evolution of the annual cultural extravaganza that is set for May 26. – 29, 2023.

After an action-packed carnival experience in Miami, the Caribbean diaspora as well as international carnival enthusiasts are already looking forward to the 36th installment of what many consider to be North America’s fastest growing carnival. .

The festival, which is set for Memorial Day weekend (the unofficial kick-off weekend of the summer event in the US) made a bold statement in 2022 and has seen significant growth in size, patronage, popularity and interest from both traditional audiences and also from the main one and the interested parties.

With ever-growing interest from participants and spectators in Atlanta’s official downtown Caribbean carnival, organizers have confirmed a new parade route for 2023 with a new accompanying post-parade concert venue set to enliven the Westside Park on May 27. , 2023, from 10:00 to 23:00

Organizers have also confirmed the return of the children’s carnival celebrations (complete with pan music) which is set for two weeks before the main parade on May 13.

During the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival 2023, Antillean musical talent will be front and center as the ACCBA has already confirmed an exciting entertainment line-up that includes T&T’s Farmer Nappy (Daryl Henry), Barbados’ Lil Rick (Rickey Reid) and DJ Cheem . , Antigua’s Burning Flames, USVI’s Pumpa, dance sensation Squid and St Lucia’s Motto (Lashley Winter) who will also serve as the 2023 Parade Grand Marshal and will also receive a proclamation from the City of Atlanta.
