“Brazil at the beginning of the 19th century was the object of the greatest curiosity and interest on the part of Europeans, who managed to enter it only after the opening of the ports to friendly nations in 1808. Its abundant, tropical nature, the immensity of its coast and the search for references of its continental territory, its fauna and flora, created an interest to know Brazil.

I do not intend to list them, as this quantity will not measure their value. Facts about toucans
Toucans are birds that are found in the Neotropical region, therefore they are also found in our national territory. In general, they occupy forest regions.
A toucan’s most distinctive feature is its large, laterally flattened, colorful beak. In addition to providing food, the beak functions as a sexual ornament, as a sounding board and as an area for heat exchange, being notable for its high vascularization.
Toucans vary in size depending on the species, ranging from 46 cm to 66 cm in length. They feed on fruit, however, this is not the only food in their diet; they also eat eggs and small arthropods such as grasshoppers and cicadas. By feeding on fruits and spreading seeds around the environment, toucans act in the process of seed dispersal, and are therefore essential in forest regeneration.
