Bad weather forces Harbour Master to cancel its Tobago Carnival tours

MV Harbor Master has officially canceled the remaining tours for the Tobago Carnival celebrations.

This was announced in a statement by Harbor Tours Limited.

He said: “The main basis of our decision was taken as a result of the increased sea waves, which made the process of boarding and disembarking from the ship extremely difficult and dangerous.”

Currently, Trinidad and Tobago is under an Adverse Weather Alert – Level Yellow due to an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) which is expected to move over the country tonight followed by a tropical wave that will pass through on Friday.

“At Harbor Tours Ltd, we pride ourselves on ensuring the safety of our tenants and their guests is our top priority, therefore, as the weather continues to remain unpredictable and a major safety risk to both our customers and staff, the decision has been made mor to cancel all remaining reservations immediately.”

“Furthermore, the Bureau of Meteorology has reported that weather conditions will continue to deteriorate and is scheduled to issue a yellow alert for all vessels in Tobago waters on October 26, 2022.

At the time of publication, the Met Office had not issued any warnings for ships.

However, Harbor Tours Ltd said its biggest priority is the safety of its stakeholders.
