Barbadian cricket commentator Nikhil Uttamchandani makes his international television debut

Twenty-one-year-old Nikhil Uttamchandani appeared on ESPN and BT Sport for the Cricket West Indies Super 50 Cup. The 48th edition of the limited-overs competition takes place in Trinidad & Tobago from 29 October to 19 November 2022.

Uttamchandani, an Exhibition Winner in Barbados, said, “this opportunity is humbling and gives me the opportunity to stretch my wings in another area of cricket commentary and sports journalism.”

The Toronto Metropolitan University student added, “I’m doing this while balancing my academic pursuits, so between TV and radio shows, I’m in classes, submitting assignments and preparing for exams.”

Earlier this year, Uttamchandani collaborated with Barbados TODAY for an exclusive one-hour interview with cricketer Jason Holder and was a radio commentator for the popular Caribbean Premier League (CPL), which concluded in Guyana in the summer. (PR)
