Dead is 17-year-old Urick Glen Henry of Evelyn Landing, Corentyne River.
The incident happened on Friday at a logging concession in Evening Creek, which is about 300 miles up the Corentyne River.
Reports are that on Friday, the teenager along with his father, 43-year-old Hemant Kumar Daonarine, were working at the logging concession owned by a businessman of Crabwood Creek, Corentyne.
