Beto Saroldi encantando a região sul e descobrindo talentos

The renowned saxophonist, veteran of the biggest Jazz and Blues festivals around the world, Beto Saroldi has just come from a tour in Rio Grande do Sul, where he performed in Porto Alegre, and then headed to Serra Gaúcha for the most great Blues in Latin America. , the fantastic Mississippi Delta Blues Festival MDBF 2022 Clarksdale Edition, which is taking place for 13 editions in the beautiful city of Caxias do Sul.

For this tour, Saroldi completely changed the structure of his music and invited the group “Hard Blues Trio” from Porto Alegre, the excellent keyboard player Mari Kerber and the beautiful singer Gisa Londero. Toyo Bagoso, the creator of the festival, provided all the support and logistics, giving these great musicians the freedom to accompany Beto Saroldi on the Tour do Sul.

Saroldi comments:

“It was the best decision I have made recently regarding my career. Hard Blues Trio has a solid lineup, they’ve been together a long time and are great musicians. But I needed good harmonic support. My music needs the sounds of Rhodes piano, Hammond organ, and we called Mari Kerber, who besides being extremely talented, an incredible keyboardist, is very young like everyone else and this youth came to renew my music.

To finish I invited the beautiful Gisa Londero, who sings absurd!!! She has the spirit of Blues and Soul in her voice! We rehearsed for a month via WhatsApp, until my arrival in Porto Alegre.

The distance did not prevent us from printing a spectacular and energetic sound. They were very dedicated. When we finally did the first rehearsal at POA, they knew all the songs. Friday’s show at the New Roxy (Main Stage) was one of the biggest and best shows I’ve played in my solo career. Those were incredible and unforgettable days in the South. I love Rio Grande do Sul and its beautiful, up-to-date people. I assumed Caxias do Sul as my second city. Founded by Italian immigrants, just like my family. It is a beautiful, kind people and there is a very strong Rock & Blues scene in the city.

Congratulations to the Mississippi Delta Blues Festival! It is a pride for our country to have a festival of this size!”
