OPENING batsman Brendan Boodoo has been selected to captain Trinidad and Tobago’s squad for the West Indies Under-15 Cricket Regional tournament, August 18-28 in Grenada.
Boodoo is one of five players named in the South East Zone team that lifted the Price Club Inter Zone title and also captained the South side that defeated the North in the U-15 North/South Classic last Saturday.
Other Southeastern players in the squad are batsman Zane Maraj, Renaldo Fournillier, Israel Gonzales and Scyon Charles.
Central Zone, the runners-up in the U-15 Inter Zone competition, got three picks which included fast bowler Dimitri Ramjattan, Darrius Batoosingh and Aadi Ramsaran.
East, North and North-East all have two representatives in the national squad with spinner Yasir Chan Deen selected as the vice-captain of the team.
There are also three reserves with Brian Browne as coach and Kelvin Mohammed as manager.
TT are the reigning champions of the U-15 regional championship.
