West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago batsman Darren Bravo is among several national players involved in the North Zone T20 tournament, which begins on Sunday in Diego Martin.
Bravo and Tion Webster will play for Santa Cruz, while Rayad Emrit and Lendl Simmons will play for Police in the eight-team tournament.
Police, Santa Cruz, Barataria and Pole 9 are in Group A, while Invincible, Glenora, Paragon and Savannah Boys are in Group B.
Police will face Santa Cruz in a Group A match on Sunday at 2pm, while Invincible and Glenora Sports will meet in a Group B match from 6.30pm.
The tournament features one round of round robin games with the semifinals scheduled for June 19 and the finals on June 20.
Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board President Azim Bassarath, Prime Minister’s Sports and Culture Fund Committee Chair Debra Coryat-Patton and other dignitaries will meet with the players before the start of the opening match on Sunday.
First prize is $10,000, runners-up earn $6,000 and losing semifinalists $3,000.
