Representatives from Brazil, Congo and Indonesia announced on Monday (November 14th) a tripartite agreement to deepen cooperation on the environmental agenda and protect tropical forests.
The “Alliance of Forests” was announced during the summit of the G20, a group of the world’s 20 largest economies, held in Bali, Indonesia.
All three countries contain the largest tropical green area in the world.
The agreement envisages cooperation for the conservation of forests with incentives for a sustainable bio-economy and projects for the recovery of degraded ecosystems.
