Brazilian General Júlio Cesar de Arruda is expected to take command of the army on Friday (30), two days before President-elect Lula (PT) takes office.
The appointment was agreed between incoming Defense Minister José Múcio Monteiro and the current portfolio holder, Paulo Sérgio Nogueira, in a meeting on Monday (26), according to information from the newspaper Valor Econômico.
