Brazil government revises GDP growth forecast for 2022 from 2.0% to 2.7

The Ministry of Economy has increased the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2022 from 2.0% to 2.7%.

GDP is the sum of all goods produced by a country in a given period. If the forecast is confirmed, the economy will have generated R$ 9.7 trillion (US$ 1.9) by the end of the year.

The change comes as a result of the increase in employment, the performance of the service sector and the increase in the investment rate.
