On Monday, October 10, the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC) said debt reached 79.3% of Brazilian households in September.
The survey of consumer debt and delinquency (Peic) showed that this is the record of the historical series in Brazil, which began in 2010.
It increased by 0.3 percentage points compared to August. It was also the third consecutive increase in 2022.
However, the CNC stated that the increase in household debt slowed down compared to previous months.
