According to a study published by the discount platform Cupom Válido, with data from Statista, Brazil is in 5th place in the ranking of the nations with the most Internet users worldwide.
The country has 165 million users and is only behind China with 1 billion users, India with 658 million users, the United States with 307 million users and Indonesia with 204 million users.
In total, there are more than 5 billion active Internet users worldwide.
Looking only at Latin American countries, Brazil is the absolute leader in the ranking, followed by Mexico with 96 million users and Argentina with 38 million Internet users.
PROVIDERS
NET (Claro NET) is the Internet provider most used by Brazilians, serving about 22% of the population.
In second place is Vivo, with 16%; Claro, in third place, with 14%; and in fourth place is Oi, with 12%.
Brisanet, Cabo Telecom and Tim Live participate in about 3% of the Brazilian population.
About 99% of Brazilian users choose mobile as the preferred device to access the Internet.
In addition to mobile, 50% of Brazilians access the Internet through television, through streaming services.
Meanwhile, laptops and desktops account for about 38% of users who use these devices to access the Internet.
