The Federal Police of Brazil (PF) suspended this Saturday (19) the issuance of Brazilian passports due to a lack of funds. However, the agency clarified that the production of emergency documents will be maintained.
Still according to the agency, there is no provision for the resumption of the issuance of ordinary passports, although the PF is “closely monitoring the situation with the Federal Government for the full restoration of the service”, it announced in a note.
Citizens assisted at the issuing points until November 18 will receive their passports normally. Those who had scheduled appointments for later dates will be received at PF. . .
