Brazil: Rock in Rio generated an impact of US$324 million for the city

The seven days of Rock in Rio 2022 generated an impact of $1.7 billion (US$324 million) for the city, according to an estimate by organizers.

1,255 artists, 300 performances and 507 hours of experience also created 28,000 direct jobs and attracted 360,000 tourists, including 10,000 foreigners from 31 countries.

These visitors represented about 60% of the 700,000 fans.

With so many tourists, the impact on the city’s hotel industry was also positive.
