National oil and natural gas production has surpassed 4 million barrels per day for the second time in history.

In September, the country produced approximately 4.05 million barrels per day, the ANP (National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency) reported on Thursday (October 20, 2002).

The barrier was breached for the first time in January 2020, when 4.04 million barrels per day were produced.

According to the agency’s data, 74% of the total extracted in September came from pre-salt.
