Brazil’s corn exports during the second week of November rose 127% compared to the daily average recorded in the entire month of 2021, to 286,000 tons, the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) announced on Monday, November 14.
It allowed shipments to be almost equal to the total recorded in November last year (2.3 million tonnes) when exports were weaker due to crop failure.
In 2022, by contrast, the country expects to supply from a record harvest and exported 2.2 million tons in November accumulated through the second week.
