Brazilian corn exports will reach 6.31 million tonnes in September, up 147.8% from the same period in 2021, when the second crop was affected by weather problems, data from the National Association of Grain Exporters showed on Tuesday ( Anec).
However, the survey showed the volume to be slightly lower than the 6.9 million tonnes shipped abroad in August based on port shipping schedules.
This year, the country expects not only to record sales, but also to increase foreign demand to fill the gap in the international market created by the war in Ukraine.
