Brazilian economy grows 1.17% in July, more than expected by the market

The Central Bank of Brazil (BC) reported today that economic activity grew by 1.17% in July, more than expected by the market.

The Ministry of Economy raised its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) projection to 2.7% in 2022.

The Economic Activity Index advanced 1.17% in July, the second straight month of growth since June’s 0.93% increase, BC showed.

With this, economic activity accumulates an advance of 2.52% in the first seven months of the year.

The 1.7% increase in July was higher than the 0.3% improvement in the financial market. . .
