“We have business, cultural, religious and clean beach and fishing tourism here. From north to south, from east to west, we take care of what tourists are looking for,” said Tourism Minister Carlos Brito on Wednesday (26) in an interview on the A Voz do Brasil program.
In the framework of the program, the minister emphasized that the government has worked to strengthen the country’s tourist infrastructure throughout the pandemic period.
“There were more than 2.9 thousand projects in which about 2 billion R$ (380 million USD) were invested, so now, after the pandemic, our sector was alive and present to participate in this very important moment important for the resumption of tourism”, he said. .
According to Carlos Brito, natural tourism and Brazil is particularly important in this segment.
The government expects the country to welcome 4 million foreign tourists from January to December 2022.

The minister also emphasized that this year’s cruise season is expected to be the biggest in the last decade.
“We are talking about the prospect of injecting about 4 billion dollars into the economy and creating about 44,000 direct and indirect jobs,” said the minister.
