Brazil’s Vice President Hamilton Mourão (Republican, right), 69, senator-elect for the state of Rio Grande do Sul, advocated in an interview with Poder360 the adoption of a proposed constitutional amendment (PEC) to abolish monocratic rulings in the STF (Court of High Court of Justice).
“There should be an amendment in the Constitution that says decisions should be taken either by the whole class or by the plenary session of the STF,” the Army Reserve general said.
“I think a single judge’s decision that affects the entire nation is complicated.”
Mourão has stated that he opposes the increase in the number. . .
