Brothers stabbed during Carnival J’ouvert

By Aaron Humes: A pair of brothers were reported stabbed this morning while reportedly attending the Carnival J’ouvert.

According to the police, around 05:25 this morning information was received about a stabbing at the corner of Majestic Street and Queen Street. At Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, they found the stabbing victims, Calvert Young, 33, and his brother Keon, 31, both of North Front Street, with stab wounds to their bodies.

The initial investigation revealed that the two brothers were attending J’ouvert and approaching Majestic Alley when someone from the crowd approached them and inflicted stab wounds to their bodies. Both people appear to be in stable condition.

Police investigations continue.
