Friends of Memorial Park Pool (FMPP) continues to raise funds to build a new Shippensburg community pool.
FMPP began exploring various grants to secure funding for this effort. Since many of these grants are matching grants, FMPP must raise the money necessary to match the grants. Donations from the community are always welcome. Your gift is an investment in our community.

Another way to help FMPP raise money is to support our fundraisers:
Thursday, September 29 – Sunday, October 2 – Burd Street Carnival – Lots of games, food and rides in the Burd Street car park.
The carnival will be held from 6pm to 10pm on Thursday and Friday, 2pm to 10pm on Saturday and 2pm to 6pm on Sunday. Twenty percent of the ride’s proceeds will go to FMPP are donated.
Dash for the Splash, a 1-mile walk, jog or run through downtown Shippensburg on King Street, will be held on Saturday, October 1st. This event will be held in conjunction with Oktoberfest, which will also be held in downtown Shippensburg on October 1st.
The event will consist of three different races:
The Doggie Paddle (a non-competitive casual outing) will be held at 2 p.m. The Free Time Dash will be held at 2:30 p.m. The Prestige Dash (timed, must run a mile in under 6 minutes) will be held at 2:45 p.m.
Prizes for the Prestige Dash will be $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place.
