Executive and director changes

Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited has adjusted its organizational structure to take effect on October 1 as follows:

Mark Chisholm has been promoted from former executive vice president for the Individual Life Division to Chief Insurance Revenue Officer.

Willard Brown has been promoted from former head of the Employee Benefits Division to chief of insurance technology and operations.

Karl Williams has been promoted from former senior vice president of human resources and corporate services to executive vice president – ​​shared services.

Howard Gordon has been appointed senior vice president, group technology and operations of Sagicor Life.

Independent non-executive directors Anthony Mark Hart and Steven Marston are no longer acting as directors of MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited with effect from 14 September. This leaves three directors on the board with one executive director and two non-executive directors.

Following the departure of Maxine Hutchinson on 26 August, Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited appointed Dr Cecile Dennis as head of people and culture, customer service and marketing on 8 September.

Taariq Abdul-Majeed is no longer employed at Honey Bun (1982) Limited as the company’s financial controller from 2 August.

Market sales and events

A related party of Kingston Wharves Limited sold 3,863 shares between September 13th and 15th. 18,325 shares of Wisynco Group Limited were purchased by eligible employees on September 16 under Wisynco’s long-term incentive plan. A director of Supreme Ventures Limited purchased 1,277,697 shares for a consideration of $35.53M from a related party on September 14th. Another related entity purchased 777,970 shares for a consideration of $21.71M on September 13th. Sagicor’s long-term plan trustee sold 39.28 Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited (SJ) shares on September 14 to an executive exercising their stock options. An executive of SJ sold 387,840 shares for an amount of $20 million, while another executive sold 125,000 shares for a consideration of $6.45 million on September 12. A related party of PanJam Investments Limited purchased 600 shares on September 14th. A related party of Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited purchased 35,615 shares for a consideration of $469,049.55. A senior manager of Barita Investments Limited purchased 58,326 shares under the employee stock ownership plan on September 12th. A senior manager of Mayberry Investments Limited sold 10,000 shares while a related party bought 2,256 shares on September 12th.

A related party of Massy Holdings Limited purchased 50,682 shares for an amount of TT$236,178.12 on September 13, while another related party purchased 168,738 shares for a consideration of TT$786,319.08 on September 14 on the Trinidad Stock Exchange and Tobago.

Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited declared a $0.54 dividend to be paid on October 10th to shareholders of record as of September 23rd.

Blue Power Group Limited has declared a $0.02 dividend to be paid on October 14th to shareholders of record as of September 30th. This payment amounts to 11.30 million dollars.

Lumber Depot Limited declared a $0.052 dividend to be paid on October 14th to shareholders of record as of September 30th. This payment amounts to 36.72 million dollars.

The Annual General Meeting of Consolidated Bakeries Jamaica Limited has been moved from September 21st to September 28th.

Caribbean Information and Credit Rating Services Limited (CARICRIS) has reaffirmed Victoria Mutual Investment Limited’s credit rating of CariBBB– on a regional scale and jmBBB+ and jmBBB for local and foreign currency, respectively, on a national scale. The credit rating of Sygnus Credit Investments Limited has been upgraded from jmBBB to jmBBB+ on Jamaica’s national scale and assigned a CariBBB– with a stable outlook.
