TRY IT, Utah – BYU basketball continues to showcase its new uniform identity for the 2022-23 season. Out of uniforms with mountains in shorts. BYU has used them since the 2016-17 season.
In the build-up to next year, BYU’s last in the WCC season, they have come up with creative ways to unveil their new themes.
On Thursday, graduate transfer guard Rudi Williams couldn’t wait to break out BYU’s latest new uniform. So Williams, a transfer from Coastal Carolina, “hacked” the official BYU Basketball Men’s Twitter account.
I just hacked @BYUMBB 🥸

After Williams completed his “hack,” he posted a video of BYU’s new royal blue uniforms for the 2022-23 season.

“What happened, puma nation! It’s your son 3 coming in. Hey, I’m not well, bro. Honestly, I’m just going to pull these jerseys out; I do not care. I won’t keep you waiting. Come on, this is no fun,” Williams said.
BYU basketball is down to three uniforms for the 2022-23 season
The new uniform is royal blue with “BYU” on the front. Additionally, the alternate BYU basketball logo is on the shorts.
Fourth-year coach Mark Pope tweeted in response to Williams’ hacked release, “A true fan man!!! Get ready Cougar Nation [emoji].”
BYU has now unveiled three uniforms for the 2022-23 season. A white blue, royal blue, and now royal blue. Yesterday, at media day, Williams told the assembled media that he would also have a black uniform.
The 2022-23 season will be BYU basketball’s last in the West Coast Conference before they move to the Big 12 Conference, beginning July 1, 2023. BYU’s final season as a member of the WCC begins on July 7 Nov. at the Marriott Center against Idaho State.
