A 46-year-old taxi driver from Havana Heights in Clarendon will face parish court on Thursday after he allegedly punched the mother of his child for removing a tattoo of his name.
Leon Reid, otherwise known as ‘The Nose’, was charged with kidnapping and assault occasioning bodily harm following the September 7, 2022 incident.
Police reports say that around 5 p.m., Reid went to the woman’s workplace where an argument took place about the tattoo the woman had removed.
Reid allegedly punched her in the face several times and used threats to force her into his motor vehicle, after which he drove her to his home. It is learned that she was rescued by the police, who were contacted by a relative of hers.
Reid fled the scene and was caught by police two days later, on September 9, during a special operation. He was subsequently charged.
He will appear in Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday.
