Tickets for the most popular events of the annual Cairns Amateurs Racing Spring Carnival are being snapped up in record time.

A month away from all the fun, fashion and racing, there are only a handful of tickets left for the ANZ Gala Ball and Captain Morgan Tropical Fashion High Tea, with sales even faster than last year.

With the borders now open, the highlight of the year in Far North Queensland is also attracting plenty of interest from interstate.

60 players from Victoria are in one group to capture all the glamor and action that ‘Racing on the Great Barrier Reef’ will offer between September 8 and 10.

“Spring is the perfect time to visit Cairns,” said Cairns Amateurs President David Goodman.

“Sunny days with a light breeze and cool nights provide the perfect conditions to dress up and enjoy a fun afternoon on the track or a glamorous evening under the stars.

“Unsurprisingly, the Cairns Amateurs is a strong drawcard for visitors to the region and punches well above its weight to deliver great memories – not just your usual racers or trendy groups, but anyone looking for a good time in the great outdoors.

“Preserving this history while evolving its future is a fine balance and a responsibility to the community that we take seriously.”
