COSTA MESA, California., August 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), the creator of California-style pizza, announced the opening of a new franchise location in Santiago International Airport in Chileexpanding CPK’s global footprint to Latin America. This new opening in Chile marks CPK’s 41st international restaurant with more locations planned to open Costa Rica AND India in the coming months. A new local franchise restaurant is also slated to open in October. The brand announced last November that exclusivity was now a growth strategy for CPK. In addition, CPK has 145 local company restaurants currently operating with a new company restaurant opening scheduled for October.
It is located inside Santiago Airport International, CPK’s newest franchise aligns with the brand’s focus to grow its exclusive locations within airports and casinos, as well as small and large format restaurants, domestically and internationally. The restaurant will be owned and operated by specialty retailer Morpho Travel Experience, a subsidiary of Britt Group, specializing in food, beverage and travel stores in airports, hotels and resorts. Morpho Travel Experience currently operates eight food and beverage concepts, including locations in four international airports.

CPK’s latest airport location builds on an already significant year for the incoming brand Canada for the first time Edmonton location last month and its new franchise location at India earlier this year. CPK will also be expanded to Costa Rica later this year.
