Caribbean economist Marla Dukharan leads a stellar line-up of nine world-class speakers from five countries who will speak at the first Caribbean Business Conference held at Metaverse this Friday, November 18, 2022.

The event aims to lower entry barriers for Caribbean firms and show them business opportunities.

“What I’m most interested in is getting the opportunity into people’s hands to be early adopters. That’s what this event is really about,” said Dukharan. “Future trends can start right here in the Caribbean,” she continued.

Dukharan, who will present her annual Economic Outlook to 2023 at the Metaverse event, shared that the Conference Agenda will provide attendees with exclusive insights and strategies to follow to make 2023 a success: the global economic outlook and Caribbean, Caribbean-specific research insights for developing business strategies, Metaverse business use cases, and legal and financial considerations in Metaverse.

“By entering this virtual environment early and providing hands-on experience to Caribbean businesses, we will help them see the opportunities available to them. This is quite different from a conference that just talks about the Metaverse, as attendees will enter a Metaverse environment, interact as avatars, be able to teleport to multiple locations, and actually see the use cases first-hand. first. Now is our time to move beyond the limitations of our past and embrace a thriving industry.”

McKinsey & Company estimates that the industry has attracted over $120 billion in investment by 2022. The firm found that more than 15% of corporate revenue is expected to come from Metaverse in the next 5 years according to 25 senior executives, and more than 79% of Metaverse users have already shopped there.

“With its potential to generate up to $5 trillion in value by 2030, the Metaverse is too big for companies to ignore.” – McKinsey, June 2022
