SAUGERTIES – The third annual Caribbean Carnival is taking place at the Canteen Veterans Memorial Field in Saugerties on August 13, 2022. The free event, taking place between noon and 7 p.m., is sponsored by Seasoned gives – a non-profit organization headquartered in Saugerties.
Seasoned Gives, according to CEO Tamika Dunkley, “creates a platform to inspire creative thinking and invoke the entrepreneurial spirit that lies within us all.” Dunkley said Seasoned Gives focuses on education and resource development for underprivileged women and minority populations.
The organization works to encourage potential entrepreneurs while also helping to develop interpersonal skills. Proceeds from the carnival will be used to fund a financial education and entrepreneurship program for local children.
