The Royal Grenada Police Force has released a report on the 2022 carnival celebrations and says the two days of the carnival were relatively peaceful.
RGPF says that no major or serious incident was reported to the police during that period.
Due to the vigilance of the police officers, they successfully broke up several clashes and also recovered a considerable number of assault weapons of various types.
The police force states that this may have contributed to the low level of violent incidents.
A total of 43 vehicle accidents were reported between August 7 and the morning of Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
Four of these reports were categorized as serious due to significant damage to the vehicles. There were no serious injuries.
